Is Shell petrol more expensive than other fuel stations?
No. OGRA notifies a single ex-depot price that every Oil Marketing Company in Pakistan must charge for petrol and high-speed diesel, and inland freight is equalised through IFEM so the rate is the same in every city. Brands compete on fuel additives, station amenities and loyalty programmes rather than on the price of regular petrol.
Is Shell V-Power the same price as regular Shell petrol?
No. Shell V-Power is a 97 RON high-octane grade, and high-octane (HOBC) fuels are deregulated in Pakistan — OGRA does not fix their price. Shell sets the V-Power rate itself, so it is higher than regular petrol and can differ between stations.
Are Shell pump prices the same in every city in Pakistan?
Yes, for regular petrol and high-speed diesel. The OGRA notified rate applies nationwide because inland freight is equalised through the Inland Freight Equalisation Margin (IFEM), so a Shell pump in Karachi and one in Peshawar charge the same.
