What 2025 holds

Coverage note. This archive holds no Petrol or Diesel records for 2025. Notification-level history for those fuels begins in July 2026, when this site started parsing every OGRA notification as it was published. Kerosene and LPG reach further back because their notifications were recoverable from OGRA's own archive. The full per-product coverage is documented on the dataset page.

Every figure below is computed from the records on this page rather than written down, so it cannot drift from the table underneath it.

Kerosene in 2025

19 notifications recorded, from 16 Jan 2025 to 16 Dec 2025. The rate rose from PKR 169.25 to PKR 180.54 per litre — a change of PKR 11.29 (6.7%). The lowest notified rate in the period was PKR 164.65 on 16 May 2025, the highest PKR 194.34 on 16 Nov 2025.

LPG in 2025

12 notifications recorded, from 1 Jan 2025 to 1 Dec 2025. The rate fell from PKR 250.28 to PKR 208.99 per kg — a change of PKR 41.29 (16.5%). The lowest notified rate in the period was PKR 201.60 on 1 Nov 2025, the highest PKR 250.28 on 1 Jan 2025.

How OGRA sets these prices

Each entry is a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, which prices fuel on an import parity basis: an international benchmark converted to rupees at the State Bank's rolling average exchange rate, plus freight and port costs, customs duty, the inland freight equalisation margin that keeps the price uniform nationwide, fixed oil marketing company and dealer margins, and then the petroleum levy and climate support levy. The levies are the part set by the federal government rather than by the market, and they are frequently the largest single component after the product itself.

Revisions used to arrive fortnightly. Through 2026 OGRA has notified far more often, at times daily, which is why a single year can hold dozens of entries. The methodology page sets out how each notification is parsed and checked before it appears here.
