1. Who We Are
OilPrices.pk (also operated under the domain petroprices.pk) publishes daily petroleum price data for Pakistan sourced from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). This policy explains what data we collect when you visit the site, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.
2. Information We Collect
We do not require account registration and do not knowingly collect names, addresses, or payment information. The data we do collect falls into three categories:
- Analytics data: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, device type, approximate location). This is pseudonymous and tied to a browser, not your identity.
- Session replays and heatmaps: We use Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymised replays of how pages are used — mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and scroll depth. Clarity masks text entered into form fields by default, so replays are not a recording of what you type.
- Push notification data: If you opt in to browser price alerts, we store a push subscription endpoint (provided by your browser) so we can send you price-change notifications. You can revoke this at any time in your browser settings.
- Email subscriptions: If you submit your email for price alerts, we store it solely to send those alerts and do not sell or share it with third parties outside the service providers needed to deliver the email.
3. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Both Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are enabled by default, on every page. This site does not show a cookie consent prompt: it serves a Pakistani audience, where no consent requirement of that kind applies, and we would rather not put a dialog between you and the fuel price you came to read. If you would prefer not to be measured, you can block these services with your browser's tracking protection, a content blocker, or by blocking the domains googletagmanager.com and clarity.ms. Nothing on this site depends on them — every price, chart and calculator works with them blocked. Visitors who declined in the consent notice this site used to show remain opted out.
This site uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) set by us and by third parties — including Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and, once approved, Google AdSense — to measure traffic, remember your notification preferences, and (for AdSense) show relevant advertising. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some site functionality such as remembering that you dismissed a notification prompt.
4. Advertising & Google AdSense
We use, or intend to use, Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. 5. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Google AdSense, Vercel (hosting), and WhatsApp/Meta (for our public WhatsApp Channel, which is opt-in and operates under WhatsApp's own privacy terms).
6. Your Rights

7. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
