About Us

OilPrices.pk is an independent fuel price tracker for Pakistan, built to make official OGRA petroleum notifications easy to find, compare, and understand.

What We Do

Every time the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and the Ministry of Energy issue a new petrol, diesel, kerosene, or LPG price notification, our automated pipeline downloads the official PDF, extracts the notified rate, and publishes it on this site — typically within hours of release. We keep a full historical archive of every revision, break prices down by city and by OMC brand (PSO, Shell, Total Parco, Attock), and run a fuel cost calculator so drivers can estimate real trip and monthly expenses.

Our Forecast Engine

Pakistan's fuel prices are set by a public formula: a 7-working-day rolling average of the Platts Arab Gulf benchmark and the State Bank of Pakistan's USD/PKR exchange rate, plus fixed statutory levies and margins that OGRA itself publishes alongside every notification. Our forecast engine applies that exact published formula to OGRA's own daily Platts data — see our methodology page for the full breakdown. It is a projection, not a guarantee: the underlying benchmark can move before the next notification is issued.

Why We Built This

OGRA notifications are published as PDF documents on a government website that isn't always easy to search or compare historically. Millions of commuters, transport operators, and small businesses in Pakistan plan around fuel costs every day. We built OilPrices.pk to turn those PDFs into a live, searchable, comparable price history — free to use, updated daily.

Independence & Accuracy

OilPrices.pk is independently operated and is not affiliated with OGRA, the Ministry of Energy, or any Oil Marketing Company. We cite the official OGRA notification for every price we publish. If you spot an error, please let us know.
